Age 55. of Independence Township, passed away September 24, 2018 at 55 years of age. Loving husband of Lisa (nee Hartfield) for 29 years; beloved father of Christin Payton and Alisha (Chad) Aines; cherished son of Helen and the late Mack Payton; brother of the late Dwain Payton; also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chris worked for Fiat Chrysler for 32 years as an engineer. He was a very spiritual man and a faithful witness of Jehovah. In his spare time he enjoyed golf and was an avid car enthusiast.
