RUELLE, CHARLOTTE LUCILLE "TODDY", of Waterford, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 91 years old. Toddy was born on April 25, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to parents George and Lucille (Sheldon) Johnson; Beloved wife of the late Richard Lee Ruelle for 68 years; cherished father of Richard (Joyce) Ruelle, John (Joan) Ruelle, Kathy (David) Johnson, Patti (Bill) Taylor, Bonnie (Craig) Thornberry, and Susan Concepcion; adored grandmother of John David, Jaime, Jerry, Joie,  Michael Robert, Jennifer, Phillip, Michael David, Megan, Sarah, Tabitha, Rachel, William, Jeremy and James; admired great-grandmother of 33; and devoted sister of Michelle (Dale) Vollmers and Sharon High and sister-in-law Eddie Johnson. Toddy was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Eugene (Vida) Johnson, George "Bud" (Terri) Johnson, Gerry Johnson, Janet (Harold) Hamlin, and Ronald (Eddie) Johnson. Toddy was a graduate from Waterford Township High School. Growing up, Charlotte "Toddy" would stay at home and watch her siblings while her mother was at work. As an adult, Toddy loved to play bingo, read books, and go garage saling. She especially loved to tell stories and crochet blankets for her grandchildren and to donate to others in need. She enjoyed spending every moment possible babysitting her children and her grandchildren at home. A visitation will be held at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD (3141 Sashabaw Rd. Waterford, MI 48329) on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 4:00PM-7:00PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home the following day at 11:00AM (visitation beginning one hour prior). A burial is to take place immediately following the service at Drayton Plains Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Toddy's name to The American Cancer Society and The Alzheimer's Association
