YORK Charles Edward of Pontiac, passed away June 1, 2019 at 62 years of age. Born October 9, 1956 in Pontiac, Michigan to Patricia and the late William York. Loving father of Timothy (Kristen) York; dear grandfather of Mia and Landon York; brother of John, Chris, Sharon, the late Mike, and the late Bill York. Charles graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and then went on to Oakland Community College and Oakland University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Charles was a teacher and had a tremendous passion of educating America's youth. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was also a Historian and enjoyed historical writing, exercising, traveling, and cooking.
