Charles 'Sonny' Alvin Straley born April 10th, 1944 and died January 9th, 2018.Sonny is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sherri, his son Shannon Straley and daughter Karen Silvio, grandchildren Anthony (Kristin) Silvio and Alexandra Straley, brother-in-law Tom Chiosso and nephews Joseph and Timothy Chiosso and David and Daniel Cross. He was preceded in death by his sisters Lora Lee Chiosso and Vivian Cross, and brother-in-law David Cross.Sonny was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army. He returned home and worked for General Motors for more than 30 years, most recently at the Lake Orion Assembly Plant. In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, kayaking, canoeing and riding his bike around the neighborhood with his beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Rudy, in the front basket. His most recent passion was his MG sports car. He spent hours tinkering in his garage and many more at MG Car Club events in the area. Above all, Sonnyrsquo;s greatest joy was his family and the love of his life, Sherri.All who knew Sonny will miss him, including the ducks who visited him every day for the past several years.
