Loving husband of the late Betty for 63 years; dear father of Sandra (Mario) DiPonio, Cindy (Glen) Riley and Susan (the late Jack) Howey; grandfather of David (Annette) DiPonio, Gina (Dale) Lawrence, Christopher (Erin) Smith, and Matthew Jenkins; great grandfather of Cooper and Caitlin; preceded in death by siblings William Smalley, Jennibelle Spence and Helen Hutson; also survived by several nieces / Arial"and nephews. Chuck was a veteran Arial; US Army WWII where he stormed the Beaches of Normandy on D-Day and wounded in action in the Battle of Bulge. He received numerous awards: Purple Heart, Five Battle Star, Bronze Star and many more. He retired from the US Postal Service in 1980 after 30 years of service, his last route the Pontiac Mall and Oakland County Complex. He was the last Police Marshal for the Village of Clarkston from 1980 to 1993, and member of the American Legion Post 63 Clarkston and a 32SUPnd/SUP Degree Mason./
