of Waterford, formerly of Southwest Detroit, died March 26, 2018 at 77 years of age. Born November 3, 1940 in Detroit, the son of the late Manuel and Margaret Garza. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Ann (nee. Canfield); loving father of Chuck (Ada) Garza, Anita (James) Barber, Kathy (Kevin) Kelton and Rebecca (Vincent) Guzman; dearest grandfather of Brandon (Samantha), Ian, Julia, Ric (Corene), Jamie, Andrew (Chelsea) Vincent (Stephanie), Derek (Jackie), Dominic and Sarina; great grandfather of Brady, Maximus, Thomas, Gianna, Ryleigh, Hailanna, Vinicio, Eva, Noah and Jovanni. Also survived by his siblings Alfred (Virginia), Arthur (Patricia), Dorothy (Robert), Joann (Thomas), Susan (William), Bonnie (Larry) and Barbara (Steve); sister in law Bonita, brother in law John and many many nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by brothers Richard and Babe and sister Virginia. Charles started his working career as a news paper delivery boy, later he shoveled horse manure up and down Michigan Ave. in Detroit. When he was older he worked for Resdin Dairy and Star Tool amp; Dye for 23 years. He also had his own janitorial business, had many rental houses and flats, but his final joy was owning and operating his own party store Sun-E-Stop on Livernois Avenue in Southwest Detroit. When he wasnrsquo;t working he enjoyed spending time at his lake property in Belleville, where he loved putting his grand kids to 'work' hosting the family to barbecuersquo;s and taking them on pontoon boat rides and having 2 separate Christmas parties in his basement, one for the Garzarsquo;s and one for the Canfieldrsquo;s.
