Carroll "Mark" Fowler, age 64, of Las Vegas, passed away on August 22, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1962, in Pontiac, Michigan. Mark grew up in Michigan and graduated from Clarkston High School in 1980. It was while working at Bordine's that he met the love of his life, Cynthia Facer. Mark worked in the nursery and store, while Cynthia worked as a sign painter and cashier. What began as a workplace meeting grew into a lifelong partnership. The two were married on December 3, 1983, shortly after Mark completed United States Air Force basic training and technical school.

Mark proudly devoted more than two decades of his life to serving his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Serving in Security Forces, his military career took him throughout the United States and overseas, including an assignment in Turkey, England, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. He also served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Over the course of 20 years and 9 months of military service, Mark advanced through the ranks, earned numerous commendations and achievements, and attended leadership school. His career reflected his dedication, discipline, and commitment to both his country and those with whom he served.

Even while fulfilling the demands of a military career, Mark remained committed to furthering his education. He attended Park College in Parkville, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating magna cum laude, as well as completing studies in Criminal Justice Administration with an emphasis in Law Enforcement in April 1998. He also earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice through the Community College of the Air Force in August 1998. His educational accomplishments were a testament to his determination and lifelong desire to learn and better himself.

Following his military career, Mark and Cynthia eventually made their home in Las Vegas, where they continued the life they had begun together so many years before.

Away from work and military life, Mark enjoyed hobbies that allowed him to slow down and appreciate the details. He collected stamps and model cars and enjoyed working on an elaborate model train landscapes. He was also happiest spending time outdoors tending to the yard. At home, Mark and Cynthia shared their lives with their five beloved cats, who brought plenty of companionship and personality to their household.

Mark will be remembered for his many years of honorable service, his dedication to education and personal growth, the interests he pursued with enthusiasm, and, above all, the life and love he shared with Cynthia.

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Cynthia; his father Gilbert (Teri) Fowler; his mother Linda (Dan) Serafin (nee Simpson). Preceded in death by his sister Janice Fowler.
