of Waterford, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 81 years of age. Born October 17, 1936 in Layland West Virginia, the daughter of the late Glen and Cassador Wells. Carrol married her loving husband Robert on July 10, 2009; dear mother of Alan (Shawn) Hahn and Michael Bell; grandmother of Brandon Hahn, Brittnie (Christopher) Wilson, Glen (Nicole) Taylor and Thomas Chaparro; great grandmother of Holden and Emily; caring sister of Nancy 'Kay' (Frank 'Pat') Pettinaro. Carrol was preceded in death by her first husband Eugene Raymond Hahn and her son Glen Raymond (Merril) Hahn.In her younger days, Carrol enjoyed bowling and golf. Family vacations 'Up North' or down south in West Virginia were always important to the Hahn family.Anyone who knew Carrol, knew that when the song Country Roads was playing, you were expected to stand up, it was just below the National Anthem in reverence.Carrol loved deeply. Family time was not negotiable. And over the years, there were some epic gatherings, every Memorial Day, the house was packed and hillbilly hotdogs were always the main course. The Christmas Parties in the basement often exceeded the carrying capacity of the Oakdale home.Carrol loved her children and when she lost Glen in 1989, she was profoundly sad, but it was again family that helped her through her loss. She was fortunate to live near to Alan amp; Shawn and Brandon and Brittnie. When Gene passed away in 2002, Carrol found her strength in both family and faith. And when she was blessed again to find love with Bob, the family was right there with Carrol to welcome Bob to the family.Grandson, Brandon often spent Sundays with his Grandma watching football, eating too much and dozing off in front of the TV.Sundays for the past few years were special as she and Bob would gather with Alan, Shawn, Brandon, Brittnie, Chris, Holden, and Emily for Sunday Dinners. div /div
