It is with great sadness that we announce that Carolyn Jo Sanzobrin, loving wife and mother, passed away on September 23rd, 2020 at the age of 82. She was born on October 19, 1937 and grew up in Highland Park, MI. In December of 1957, Carolyn met her husband, Don, on a blind date and they married on June 6th, 1959. Together they raised 5 children. Carolyn loved to travel on family road trips in the motor home, on camping and canoeing adventures with friends and on amazing journeys to Europe with Don. She was vibrant, funny and had many friends. She was the true leader of the "Troy Meadows Gang". Carolyn was a woman with many creative talents who loved painting, making jewelry and interior design. She was known for her beautiful garden, delicious soups and annual, extended-family 4th of July gatherings. Carolyn was one of a kind and she will be missed dearly. Preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Dick Berta, and 3 siblings, Ray, Gloria, and Margie. Survived by her husband, Don, children, Jennifer, Matthew, Anthony, Michael (Mary Lou) and David (Michele), grandchildren Anthony Jr., Samantha, Francis, Cecilia, Sophia, Jack and Lucy and great-grandchild Harper.
