HOLLISTER, CAROLYN FAY, age 70 of Trout Lake, formerly of Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. She was born on February 19, 1953 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Roger and Annette (Louie) Kerr. When she was 28 years old she met Timothy Hollister while she was walking down the street in Ogden, Kansas, a small town outside of Fort Riley where Tim was stationed. Two years after their first meeting, on April 20, 1979 they wed and spent the next 44 years together. Carolyn will be remembered for her kind heart and ability to care for other people. She was a great cook, enjoyed feeding the wildlife in her backyard, and enjoyed writing poetry. She also enjoyed fishing and shooting her crossbow. In her younger years, she enjoyed raising her children, cross stitch, playing bingo and Bunko, and bowling. Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Tim Hollister; children: James Richard (Crystal) Hopkins, Bradley Scott (Janell) Hollister, and Paul Michael (Ashton Hefley) Hollister; grandchildren: Dylan Hopkins, Alyssa Hopkins, Morgan Hollister, Cheyenne Hollister, Zander Hollister, and Savannah Hollister; siblings: Janice, Jake, Beverly, and Bayliss; in-laws: Mitch, Cynthia, Amy, Brent, and Lynn. A funeral service will take place at 6pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, two hours prior to the service, beginning at 4pm. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Cancer Research Project or the American Heart Association in honor of Carolyn.
