CAREY, CAROLYN ANN, of Waterford, Michigan passed away March 2, 2020 at 84 years of age. Born on October 11, 1935 in Case County, Indiana daughter of the late William and Dora Schneider; beloved wife of Marvin Carey for 66 years; loving mother of William Robert Carey, Laurie (David) Dougherty and preceded in death by children Debra Lee Carey and Mark James Carey; proud grandmother of Nicole (Chris) Sauerwald; cherished great grandmother of Temperance Carolyn Sauerwald, Jonah Christopher Sauerwald and Elijah Paul Sauerwald; dearest sibling of Virginia Wilson and preceded in death by siblings Robert Schneider, Dale Schneider, Roland Schneider and Joan Smart. In 1946, Carolyn was baptized at age 11 in Hoover, Indiana. After high school, she later met the love of her life Marvin through her sister and brother-in-law. They married on June 19th, 1954. She enjoyed sewing and made wonderful quilts for her family. One of her favorite hobbies was to square dance with her husband. They traveled all the way to Canada for one of their square dance competitions. Carolyn loved spending time with her great grandchildren and planning family reunions. She always knew every family member's birthday, even extended family. Carolyn will be deeply missed.
