EVJEN, CAROL T. of Clarkston, passed away February 3, 2024 at 80 years of age. Loving wife of the late Robert Evjen; dear mother of Kim (Steven) Valeck, James (Kathi) Haney, and David (Gina) Haney; grandmother of Steven (Julie), Amber, Alexander, Shelby, Thressa (Josh), Erin (Chris), and Adam (Kate); great grandmother of Avery, Colton, Harper, and Easton; sister of the late Ron Webb; survived by her canine companion, Sunny. Carol retired from the Oakland County Sheriff Department in 2003 after almost 30 years of service as a deputized administrator. She was also a long time active member of Sigma Phi Sorority. An independent, self-sufficient, and determined woman, Carol enjoyed snowmobiling; gardening and yard work; spending time with family, especially grandchildren; get-aways to their cottage in Roscommon; and hanging out with her sorority sisters. In later years she would keep on going on her scooter, but never to proud to call for help when she would over do it or expect more than her scooter could handle. Those times made the best stories of "mom". The pride she had for her family she wore on her sleeve, and for that she will be forever missed and loved. Funeral service will be Monday, February 12, 2024 at 12 noon at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Burial follows at Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston. Family will receive friends Sunday 12-5 PM.
