WAHNEFRIED, CAROL HAGEN, 74, of Waterford passed away May 17, 2021. She was born February 24, 1947 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Carl and Dorothea (Hagen) Schafer. Carol was a Lutheran teacher who taught at St. John in Fraser, MI, Calvary in Lincoln Park, MI, and an Early childhood educator at St. Stephen. She loved the Lord and was a 35-year member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Carol was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Spending time with her family was the highlight of her day. Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of forty-eight years, Paul Wahnefried of Benton, Arkansas; two children: Anne Barnard and husband Sean of Benton, Arkansas and Neil Wahnefried and wife Courtney of Rochester, Michigan; two grandsons, Charlie and Michael Barnard; brother, Carl Schafer and wife Sara of Plymouth, Michigan; and many relatives and friends who love Carol and will miss her always.
