HOBAN, CAROL J., of White Lake, passed away Wednesday May 20, 2020 at 94 years of age. She was born August 14, 1925, in Ludington, Michigan, the daughter to the late Roy and Alice Kibbey. She married her beloved husband Richard L. Hoban on May 11, 1953 in Pontiac, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2015. Loving mother of Eugene (Lynda) Hoban, Larry (Barb) Hoban, Beth Ann (Norman) Holeman, Kathie (Rudy) Langston, Wendy Cooper, Ricky Hoban, the late Timothy Hoban and the late Steven Hoban; dear sister of the late Helen Dell; dearest grandmother of 30; great grandmother of 34 and great great grandmother of 6. Carol worked for many years as the bookkeeper for the Riker Building in downtown Pontiac. Later she and Richard owned and operated a ceramic shop, where she loved to work alongside him and teach the art of ceramics. After closing their shop they retired for many years down to the hills of Tennessee. When not working Carol enjoyed her flowers, gardening and loved watching and caring for birds. A private family service will be held and burial will be next to her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, a public Celebration of Carol's life will be held. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
