Carl William
Blehm
Apr 6, 1948 — Jun 10, 2026
Carl William Blehm, of Goodrich and formerly of Holly, passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 78. Carl was born on April 6, 1948, in St. Charles, Michigan, to Herbert Frederick and Anna Amelia Blehm (née Stein). Raised with strong values of hard work, service, and family, Carl carried those principles throughout his life. Proudly serving his country, Carl enlisted in the United States Army and was assigned to the Service Battery, providing critical logistical, maintenance, and administrative support to artillery and combat battalions and served in Vietnam. Following his military service, Carl returned home to Michigan, where he built a life centered on family, dedication, and community. He began a career with Clarkston Community Schools, where he worked for more than 28 years as Head Custodian. Known for his reliability, work ethic, and willingness to lend a hand, Carl took great pride in caring for the schools and the people within them until his retirement. Carl he met the love of his life, Pamela Kay Allen, through work, and after a memorable evening throwing darts together at Heidi's, the rest became history. They were united in marriage on March 21, 2007, blending their families and creating a life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. Carl had a passion for classic automobiles and enjoyed restoring, maintaining, and showing off several beloved vehicles, including a Model A and a 1929 Ford Roadster. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman who cherished time spent outdoors. Carl and Pam enjoyed traveling together, making memories across the country in places such as Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, Oklahoma, Florida, and Las Vegas. A gifted handyman, Carl seemed capable of fixing or building just about anything. Whether helping family, friends, or neighbors, he was always ready with a tool in hand and a solution in mind. Among his many hobbies, golf held a special place in his heart. One of his proudest accomplishments on the course was scoring a hole-in-one at the former Clarkston Golf Course—a story he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. Above all else, Carl treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, strength, humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Pamela Kay Blehm; his children, Dawn (Bryan) Crump, Jennifer (Kevin) Weinberg, Candace (Rolando) Mendoza, Christie (Scot) Thompson, and Carrie (Nick) Tucker; his grandchildren, Tyler (Jamie) Crump, Allison Crump, Samson Weinberg, Jessie "Leo," Abby, Cecilia, Marcos, Dustee, and Kendall; his great grandchildren, Ronan Crump and Henry Crump; his siblings, David Blehm and June Rodriguez; his mother-in-law, Roberta Allen; the entire Allen family, including seven siblings; and twenty-seven cherished nieces and nephews.
