Brenda Elaine Love, beloved wife, devoted sister, dedicated teacher, world traveler, and cherished friend, passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 60.

Brenda was raised by her loving mother, Margaret, along side Mark (Peggy) and her sister, the late Karen Doemer. Some of Brenda’s happiest childhood memories were made during family trips to the lake house on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Those early adventures sparked a lifelong love of travel, discovery, and experiencing all that the world had to offer.

Brenda was married to the love of her life and her partner in adventure, John, for 14 years. Together, they found a special kind of love and happiness in one another. Together, they created cherished family traditions that enriched their lives, strengthened their bonds, and made the time they shared even more meaningful and creating countless memories along the way. Among their many adventures, they traveled to Paris together where Brenda was the ultimate tour guide.

Brenda’s love for Paris began long before those trips with John. Earlier in her life, she spent two years living in Paris, where she worked as a nanny. Eventually, visiting the city of love 7 times, it was a chapter of her life she always cherished and one that reflected her adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for language and culture. Brenda earned her master’s degree in French and had an extraordinary gift for languages, speaking many throughout her life.

Brenda dedicated her life to teaching for 35 years. She brought enthusiasm and professionalism to the classroom and cared deeply about her students giving them her very best, always striving to make a difference in their lives.

Brenda was smart and determined, but perhaps most importantly, she was genuine. Brenda never expected people to be anything other than who they were. She accepted others as they came, met people where they were, and stood beside them with unwavering support.

Brenda believed in adding more good to the world. She did so not through grand gestures, but through the way she lived each day; with kindness, curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to be there for others. Her passion for learning, her adventurous spirit, and her ability to make people feel accepted and supported will be deeply missed.

Brenda leaves behind a lifetime of memories, lessons, adventures, and love. Those who knew her will carry her spirit forward in the kindness they show, the places they explore, the people they embrace, and the good they choose to add to the world.

A memorial gathering celebrating Brenda’s life will be held at Coats Funeral Home – Clarkston on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
