CHILDERS, BOYD WAYN, age 64 of Goodrich, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was born on March 29, 1958 in Pontiac to parents James "Earl" and Helen Childers. Boyd retired from GM in 2019 after several years of dedicated service. He enjoyed going to the casino, hunting, boating, fishing, and golfing. More than anything, he loved his family and his grandkids. Boyd will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Dee Dee Childers; children: Nikki (Nick) Grohoski and Boyd Childers; grandchildren: Harper and Oakley; sister, Dawn (Ernie) Childers; his dog, Remmi and his cat, Bruce; many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Kim Childers; sister, Linda Childers. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Bethany Tabernacle, 3575 Joslyn Rd., Orion Twp. A luncheon will follow the service. The family will receive visitors at church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am.
