HYDE, BILLIE JOYCE, age 87 of Highland, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born on December 29, 1934 in Chattanooga,  Tennessee to parents Willie Ralph Thomas and Nellie Louise Graves. Joyce worked as a phone operator for the state of Florida where she lived for nearly sixteen years. She loved to travel and even made it to Europe. She also loved her pinto beans and cornbread from Cracker Barrel. She had a love for country music and everything about it. Above all else family was everything to her, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She would tell you "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck " along with holding up peace symbol fingers to show she loved you as you were saying goodbye. Joyce is survived by her daughters: Mary DeMaintenant and Lisa (Matt) Schultz; grandchildren Jennifer Arnold, Ginger ( Jason Struniak Sr.) Soja, Hailey (Kyle Walker) Schultz, Zachary Schultz, and Jacob ( Sarah Rasegan) Schultz; great grandchildren: Alicia Ring, Caroline Struniak, Jason Struniak Jr., and one more on the way; siblings Mary, Ralph, Joanne and Patty, and many extremely loving nieces , nephews , great nieces and great nephews . She was proceeded in death by both parents; the two loves of her life: Francis Hyde and Luther Cox; and her siblings: Ruth, Riley Luther, Kathy, Ada, and Jimmy.
