PIETRZAK, "BETTY", of Waterford, Michigan, passed away February 7, 2020 at 95 years of age. Born May 21, 1924 in Linton, North Dakota, daughter of the late Anton and Margaret Dietz ; beloved wife of the late John S. Pietrzak for almost 50 years; cherished mother of Linda Pietrzak, Georgina (Terry Wieman) Pietrzak and Charlotte (Roger) Burckhardt; loving grandmother of Dr. Rachel Burckhardt (Dr. Theodoric Mattes); dearest sister of Regina Senger and Helen Imberi and predeceased by siblings Katie Schneider, Eva Franzel, Mary Schneider, John Dietz, Maggie Volk, Mike Dietz, and Joe Dietz. Betty was a hard working mother who loved to cook, garden and play cards; 500 Rummy was her favorite game. She was a devout Catholic and one of the founding members of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School and Church in Waterford. She supported her family and community, was a dedicated prayer warrior, and was part of the Women's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus "Columbelles". Most importantly, Betty loved and adored her family. In Lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated.
