of Waterford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, January 16, 2018 at 83 years of age. Betty was born in Detroit on August 10, 1934 to Louis and June Wortman. She attended Pontiac Central High School and Michigan State University where she majored in journalism. Following college graduation, she moved to New York City and worked in advertising. She met Ernest Lowell Good in high school, they dated during college, and upon Bettyrsquo;s return from New York to Michigan, they married September 14, 1957. Over the next 60 years together, raised 5 children, Michael (Danette), Brant (Geraldine), Scott (Jacqueline), Eric (Lucia), and Maureen Good. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, with another on the way. Also survived by sister, Carol Reynolds; preceded in death by sister, Joanne Adams. Betty was a devoted Christian and member of First Presbyterian Church, Pontiac. Betty loved her family. As a loving and devoted wife and mother, the success of her family was the focus of her life. She enjoyed family vacations in northern Michigan. Betty maintained a joy for journalism throughout her life, working at J. Walter Thompson in New York City after college; writing freelance for the Detroit News, The Reminder and other local newspapers, and later, creating and coordinating advertising for the family owned roller skating rinks. Betty instilled her family values and Christian faith to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but always, and fondly, loved and remembered.
