CHANDLER, BETTY J. of Waterford, passed away March 12, 2021 at 98 years of age. Loving wife of the late Edward Chandler; dear mother of Philip (the late Terrie) Chandler, Timothy (Sally) Chandler, Jill Chandler, and Steven Chandler; grandmother of Jason (Desiree) Chandler, Jeremy (Dalis) Chandler, and Melissa (Matt) Mundy; step-grandmother of Debbie Guadagnoli, Beth (Doyt) Allen, Andrea Britt, and the late Tarra Guadagnoli; great grandmother of 27 and great-great grandmother of 16; sister of Sally Pilkinton and Susan (Frank) Sasso; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by siblings, Jack Fawcett, Peggy Woody, Nancy Knapp, and Patsy Johnson. Betty was born and raised in West Bloomfield Township. She was a graduate of Baldwin High School in Birmingham. Betty and Edward hand-built their home on Lake Oakland where they raised their family and lived for 67 years. Betty was a member of the Woman's National Farm and Garden Association, Waterford Branch, and she won many awards for artistic flower arranging. She was also a volunteer at Meadowbrook Hall for many years. Betty will be remembered for the love she had for her family, and time spent with siblings who were also her best friends. A private burial will be held at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston. Memorial donations may be made to Community Bible Church in Waterford.
