(nee Mugford) was born in Detroit on October 16, 1927. She passed away at her home in Waterford on April 3, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born to Albert Anderson Mugford and Agnes Morris and was a proud descendant of Scottish poet Robert Burns. Betty attended the Log Cabin School in Troy. She then moved to Goderich, Ontario Canada with her parents and brother Harold and worked at Victory Aircraft on the gun turrets of the Lancaster bombers. She moved on to become a dietician at Westminister Hospital in London, Ontario where she fell in love, at the top of the stairway, with her future husband, the late Reverend Ken Knight. She is survived by four children, Ellen (Tom Harris) Everett, Kevin (Kathy Ekhout) Knight, Karen (Steve) Tiedeman, and Kirk (Donna) Knight. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 2 on the way. We are comforted that she is in Heaven with her Lord and Savior along side Ken, her soulmate.
