CARSON, BERNICE LEILA, age 92, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. Bernice was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 28, 1929 to parents William and Gladys (nee Vanderburg) Armburst. Loving mother of Duke (the late Terri) McIntosh, Michael (Lynn) McIntosh, and step-mother of Caren Peltier and Curt Carson; proud grandmother of Chelsea, Marissa, and step-grandmother to Aaron, and Adam; cherished great-grandmother of Sophia, Noah, and step-great grandmother of Austin and Leilani. Bernice was preceded in death by her husbands; Marshall McIntosh, Clare Shepard, and Bob Carson, and her sister, Eleanore Skibowski. After Bernice graduated from Lake Orion High School she opened up her own beauty salon. When she met her first husband Marshall, they started a family together and they raised two sons. Bernice was very close with God and was a member of Pine Hill Congregational Church in Bloomfield Hills. Bernice loved to spend her free time outdoors no matter the season, she especially loved golfing, water and snow skiing. She also loved to spend her spare time shopping at Macy's and cooking. Bernice will be remembered as a very positive and upbeat person who loved life and everything in between. A memorial service will be held at PINE HILL CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH (4160 Middlebelt Rd. West Bloomfield) in honor of Bernice on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 4PM and the family will accept visitors Wednesday 2PM until the time of service. The family requests that everyone in attendance for the service wears a face mask. Bernice was loved by many and will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers Bernice would be thrilled if donations were made to her church, Pine Hill Congregational.
