Bernard Clifton
Seiber
Aug 3, 1920 — Apr 8, 2022
Bernard Clifton Seiber died peacefully at home on April 8, 2022, at 101 years of age. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Marion Brown Crosin Seiber. Surviving are his five children--Marilyn J. Seiber (William – deceased), Bernard C. (Clif) Seiber, Jr. (Cheryl), Sheridan L. Steelman (Robert), Ronald J. Seiber, Janis D. Wolbrink (Robert) --15 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Bernard graduated from Pontiac High School and later served in World War II from 1942 to 1945 in the U.S. Navy as a PO1 Aviation Radar Technician. He was stationed at Lakehurst, New Jersey, flying airships along the Atlantic coast searching for German submarines. After the war, Bernard became a partner-owner of Hod's Radio and TV Sales and Service in Pontiac until 1988 when he retired. After retirement Bernard 'specialized' in growing tomatoes that he distributed to neighbors. He and Marion enjoyed several trips to Europe and later became snowbirds spending winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Bernard enjoyed his birthday celebrations at home with his five children, but his 100th and 101st birthdays were especially memorable. Bernard loved watching FOX News every night, reading the Wall Street Journal daily, and discussing national and world events. His wit and dry humor remained until his last days. Most of all, Bernard Seiber believed in "giving with a warm hand"--which is how he lived his life...with warmth, kindness, and generosity.
