STEIN, BARBARA LOUISE, age 89, of Sterling Heights, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023.  She was born on March 11, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan to parents Albert and Louise Hoffman (nee Knack).  Barbara loved to travel, and her trips took her all over the world including trips to Russia, Israel and China.  One of her favorite places to visit was Disney World, where she loved the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  A lifelong dream of Barbara's was to take her whole family to Disney World, which she was able to do in 2018.  Barbara also enjoyed singing and was a member of the GM Chorus and her church choir.  She is survived by her children: Sharon (Scott) Mahaffy and Jason (Shannon) Stein; grandchildren: Erin (Dan) Price, Meghan (Ryan) Hochstein, Allison (Deryk) Reque, Jake Stein, and John Stein; great grandchildren: Emma Louise, Owen David, Jack Lawrence, and Eleanor Ruth; sister, Betty (Ken) Wolfe; and brother-in-law, Marvin (Kate) Stein.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Lester Stein and her brother-in-law, Ronald Stein.  Memorial services to be held at First Presbyterian Church of Warren, 3000 Twelve Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48092 on Saturday, December 9, 2023.  Visitation with family 9:00am to 11:00am, memorial service at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Warren or a charity of your choice.
