PICKEL, BARBARA J. of Clarkston, formerly of Oklahoma and Pontiac, passed away June 13, 2022 at 87 years of age. Loving wife of the late James F. for 65 years; cherished mother of Jamie (Robert) Wagnitz, Kathleen Tharldson, David (Deborah) Pickel, and Daniel (Catherine) Pickel; grandmother of 9; great grandmother of 16; preceded in death by 4 siblings; survived by many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Following James retirement they moved to Oklahoma where they owned and operated a laudromat for ten years. She returned to Clarkston where she enjoyed giving her homemade baked goods to doctors, pharmacist, mailman, and garbage men, something they will all miss. She also enjoyed a little gambling; the casino; coin collecting; and genealogy. She was a giver, not a taker and just her lovely presence in this world will be dearly missed. Private service will be held.
