Barbara Faye (Hill) Burton

April 8, 1943 – December 26, 2025

Barbara Faye Burton, Born April 8, 1943, passed away, unexpectedly at home, on December 26, 2025, at the age of 82. She was a native of Maury County and a Resident of Columbia, Tennessee.

A Family viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home, Columbia, TN. The Family will also have a viewing at Coats Funeral Home in Waterford, Michigan for friends and family on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the All Saints Cemetery, Waterford Michigan.

Barb, or Faye was the Daughter of the late Howard C. Hill and Mandy (Aline Shouse) Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Hill, and a sister Sue Hill Derryberry/Humphrey. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Hood. Barb is survived by her loving husband, Jerry W. Burton, son Greg Hood, grandson Trevor Hood, both of Waterford, Michigan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Barb was a graduate of Columbia Central High School, after graduating she moved to Michigan in 1963. She worked many years for Sears and ended up retiring from there. After retirement She moved back to Tennessee. Barb enjoyed travelling and attending to her Flower gardens. She loved her husband and son immensely, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Barb's Nephews; Murray Derryberry, Daniel Derryberry, Darryl Derryberry, Guy Derryberry. Rick Ogg, and Bill Winegar, will serve as Pallbearers.
