DOUD Jr., ALTON JOHN "Al", of Waterford, passed away December 24, 2020 at 87 years of age. Born on October 30, 1933 in Pontiac, Michigan to parents Alton John and Elsie Doud (nee Abrahamson); beloved husband of the late Jeannette Doud (nee Ganje) for 57 wonderful years; dear father of Julie (Samuel) Fleischer, John Doud, and Jennifer (Richard) Bachynsky; grandfather of Christopher, Katlyn, Grant, Garrett, and Sammy; brother of Beverly (Jim) McEntee. Al graduated from Waterford Township High School in 1951. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He met the love of his life Jeannette on a blind date through mutual friends; they were happily married May 18th, 1963. Very ambitious, he served 27 years as a Waterford Township police officer and was promoted to Staff Lieutenant working 3rd shift. His brothers and sisters in blue were really important to him, so much so, he became a member of the fraternal order of police. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, golfing, softball, attending his grandchildren's sporting events and feeding the birds. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community he served
