KNAKE, ALLAN DALE, age 69, of Waterford, passed away July 14, 2021. He was born on February 7, 1952, in West Branch, Michigan, son to Julius and the late Shirley Knake (nee Rowe). Loving husband of Terri for 47 wonderful years; dear father of Heidi (Angelo) Newby, Jason (Jennifer) Knake, and Katie (Joe) Larsen; proud grandfather of Sydney, Paige, Benjamin, Dylan, Shelby, Ella, Laney, and Kenzie; brother of Butch (Kurt) Lane, Brian (Sybil) Knake, Pat Lane and Tami (Pat) Murray, and the late Tom Lane, Linda Lane, Brenda Sheilds and Tim Knake; special uncle to Rick (Linda) Lane and Chris (Amy) Lane; special cousins Jr. and Bobbi Jarvis. Allan graduated from Clarkston High School in 1972 where he was a decorated athlete and All-State wrestler. Allan met Terri, the love of his life, in 1973 and they married on January 25, 1974. Allan worked for General Motors for 42 years and retired in 2017. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking care of Terri, golf, bowling, working on cars, and fishing. Most of all, Allan enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, 10:00 AM with an instate time of 9:30 AM at Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church, 5481 Dixie Highway, Waterford. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Coats Funeral Home- Waterford. Memorial donations in Allan's name may be made to The Hero Foundation.
