Mrs. Alice "Joan" Allison, age 90, of Waterford, passed away Tuesday morning, August 10, 2021, at her residence. She was born May 3, 1931, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Gerald and Lucille Edith Bernert. Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert Edward Allison. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed arts, crafts, traveling to all 50 states despite a fear of flying, duplicate bridge and square dancing along with spending and enjoying time with her children and grandchildren. Joan is survived by two daughters and one son: Debra Allison Gilboy (Philip) of Waxhaw, North Carolina; Cynthia Jo Meszaros (Ronald) of White Lake; and Richard James Allison of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren: Christopher Meszaros, Allison Pereklita (Ben), Kelly Meszaros, and Christina Ellenberg (Eric); one great-grandchild, Clarke Pereklita; and one sister, Joyce Elaine Palmer of Clyde, North Carolina. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
