BENGIE, ALEX HOMER, age 72 of Pontiac, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was born on August 11, 1949 in Harlan, Kentucky to parents Joseph and Margie (Austin) Bengie. Alex proudly served in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He later retired as a CNC Operator after 30 years of service. Alex enjoyed outdoor activities like camping and fishing. He was known to play the lottery daily and for tinkering around in his garage for hours. More than anything, Alex will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and papa. Alex is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Christine; sons: Bryan (Jenny) Bengie and Jeremy (Deanna) Bengie; grandchildren: Jaden, Macie, Lillyan, and Jackson; brothers: James (Becky) Bengie and Tim (Carol) Bengie; nieces: Sherry, Jeannie, Jamie, Jacqueline, Theresa, and Rachel; nephew, JR. He was proceded in death by both parents; siblings: Bobby Bengie and Jeannie Bengie. Interment to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan
