BYFORD, PAUL R., of Mayville, formerly of Waterford Sept. 8, 2007 at age 78.  Loving husband of Christine for 51 years.  Devoted father of  Debra (Michael) DeWald of Clarkston, Barbara (Chuck)  Pfister of Lake Orion and Gary (Sherri) Byford of Waterford.  Grandfather of 7, Michelle, Rebecca & Rachel DeWald, Amy & Jessica Pfister, Jared & Justin Byford.  Also survived by his brother Lloyd Byford.  Paul was a veteran of the US Army and Navy, serving in WWII.  He had retired from GM – Fisher Body and Orion Plant, after 34 years of service.  He held numerous positions in the U.A.W. Local # 5960, including Chairman of the Shop Committee. 

Memorial Service:  Thursday, September 13, 2007, 1:00 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford.

Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. 

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Envelopes available at the funeral home.
