ADKINS, ROY A. of Pontiac. Went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 27, 2008. Roy was the son of the late Lonnie and Alma Adkins of W. VA. He was preceeded in death by 3 sisters, 3 brothers and a great granddaughter, Derek. He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years Jean Adkins. Loving father of James (Geneva) Adkins, Barbara (Clinton) Jones and Larry Adkins. Dear brother of Virgil Adkins and Leoda Harrah. Special grandfather of Angela, Christian, Melissa, Mike, Eddie (the late Debbie) and Shelly (Mike). Also survived by 18 step grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and 17 step great grandchildren. Roy retired from GM in 1970. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, the water and vacationing in FL. He was a longtime member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Pontiac.

Funeral Service: Thursday, May 1, 2008 1:00 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. Pastors David McGowan & Boyce Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston.

Visitation: Wednesday 4:00-9:00 PM
