APPLETON, CLARENCE E.,  “Skip” of Waterford, died February 5, 2008 at 90 years  of age.  Beloved husband of the late Evelyn.  Loving father of Jane (James) Sitko, Connie (Lee) Davis, Mike (Kim) Appleton and the late Larry Appleton.  Dearest grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 7.  Also survived by daughter in law Jan Appleton; brother Donald Appleton and several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his brother Harold and sister Alice.  Mr. Appleton retired from GM Fisher Body – Pontiac; where he was very active in the Union as a shop committee  man.  He was a veteran of the US Navy SEABEE’s during WWII, and was a member of American Legion Post #377 and  VFW Post # 1008.  In his free time he was an avid golfer, enjoyed camping, gardening, working in his yard, raising Thoroughbred English Beagles and loved watching sports.  

Memorial Service: Friday  February 8, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Coats Funeral Home, Waterford.  Pastor Joshua Combs officiating.  Burial will follow at Crescent Hills Cemetery, Waterford. 

Visitation: Thursday from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Cranbrook Hospice or charity of your choice.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
