NELSON, GRADY H., formerly
of St. Clair Shores, died January 9, 2010 at 82 years of age. Beloved
husband of the late Rose. Dear father of Sheryl (Greg Haase) Nelson,
Anita (David) Nelson–Grishkevich, Jason (Jasmine) Nelson and the late
Randy Nelson. Step father of Tami (Mark) Dobie, Jeff Arnel, Dawn (Dave)
Falconer and the late Peggy Irwin. Also survived by his brother, John
“Junior” (Catherine) Nelson, 4 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and 1
great grandchild. Grady was a Veteran of the US Navy, WWII. He was a
member of the Teamsters Local #299 retiring from Central Transport after
more than 25 years of service. He was also a former member of B.P.O.E.,
V.F.W and an avid University of Alabama fan.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. Interment following at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester.
Visitation: Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial donations may be made to McLaren Hospice or to the family to assist with funeral costs. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
